We stayed at Baan Por Jai for over a week and were very happy with the location and quality of the room. The hotel is set away from the main road and its quiet and has a beautiful small garden, exotic plants and orchids are everywhere. The staff is truly helpful, they provided everything we needed, including a very inexpensive laundry service. The manager even picked us up with their tuktuk at the pier. Its a great location to base exploration of Ko Lanta, and a pleasant place to stay.

The room itself was in pretty good shape considering the price. We have payed a lot more for a lot worse in Thailand. The hotel is just off the main road, so it's pretty quiet! It's also close to restaurants and 7-eleven. The beach is about 3-5 minutes away. It's also not that far of a walk to the "city part" of the island.

If you prefer to have staff around, and someone at the reception - don't book this hotel. The cleaning lady (we think) gave us our key, and when we wanted to pay for the room she called the manager (we think) who came on a moped and helped, but was gone as fast as he came.

Clean room away from main road. Lovely little garden/glade at the front, close to the beach and had wifi. Value for money with no thrills.r

Clean n comfy room. Spacious. Quiet. Quite near to the beach, abt 3 mins scooter ride.

No service at night. No daily room cleaning nor fresh towel. Can request for it, however, it's difficult to find the manager. There's a number for u to call the manager but even he doesn't speak English, so there's no way to communicate with him on the phone.
